MUSIC MONDAY: NOVEMBER PT.5

Matthew Progress

Matthew Progress released Night.Rhetoric last year – an EP with a total of six tracks. Progress starts off with a crazy flow and crazier beats (listen to “Hedonism 2”) but it’s his concepts that are the most interesting. “Moon Shine” is also worth listening to before experiencing the EP in it’s entirety.

Erik Flowchild

“Don’t just look up to the greats, try and be one of them” – Eric Flowchild on “Peace”.  “Peace” is on the EP Child’s Play which also includes “Boom Bap ft. Xolisa” and “All I know.”

Despite being underground, Erik Flowchild has performed inside and outside of Toronto especially south of the border in cities like New York. The MC is no doubt inspired by the likes of Nas and Talib Kweli which we find to be refreshing and pleasantly nostalgic.
