Drew James starts his album Frame of Mind with an early 2000’s feel. The intro “All Night ft. JRDN” is an ideal song for the club with its bubbly beat and classic references to bottles, women and sex; in essence, it’s a song that R. Kelly would have loved to feature on. “Ice T” is a song of the same sort with a focus on money and power. Overall, this album is what you would expect DJ’s to play on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights (so DJ’s take note). It’s been a while since a rapper attempted to make an album that people could dance to in its entirety but this one achieves that.
