When Jazz Cartier hinted that he’d be dropping his album we didn’t expect it to be this early. Just days before his Toronto concert at The Phoenix Concert Theatre (which is sold out) Cuzzi decided to release a total of 16 songs.
The album has incredibly dark undertones similar to Marauding in Paradise however Hotel Paranoia is drastically different from his previous work. The album is a lot more melodic and experimental as a result of Lantz’s effortless production on the project.
If ever you had any doubts about Jazz Cartier, this should put them to rest. The Toronto rapper is a visionary in terms of manipulating the art form to explore cryptic storylines. We can only imagine what the videos to some of these songs will look like.
